We created this website for the aviation photographers who like to plane spot at the Rockford Airport (KRFD) in Rockford Illinois.  We wanted to share information on where the good places are to spot from, interesting aircraft that come in and fly out of the Rockford Airport, Events and also Photography Tips as well.

The creator of this website is Rickie Traeger and I am a huge aviation fan and have been plane spotting at the Rockford Airport for well over 10 years now.  Why do I plane spot? I enjoy the hobby, because aircraft are an amazing sight. An amazing concept to see such huge aircraft fly across the skies thousands of feet above the ground. And to see one up close and to admire the beauty of an aircraft, is beyond words that I can not describe. Those who enjoy this hobby, know exactly what I am talking about. And what I am about to share with you.
